JOB DESCRIPTION :
As a Production Engineer you are responsible to support Production Manager in achieving RTS commitments. You are also responsible to improve overall production/line efficiency and reduction in production cost The below roles & responsibilities are indicative of the expectations of GreyOrange from your job role. However, your impact on the organization and hence the responsibilities evolve over time and hence the below are not exhaustive or limiting your position at any point
Responsibilities:
- Identify the gaps in the current spare validation process and improve the process using six sigma methodology.
- To Validate the spare consumption done by the Hardware team & site maintenance team.
- Tracking of the spare shipments across the globe from GFC-1, GFC-2 & Suppliers.
- Monitor spare consumption data and support in data analysis for assessing the RoF for parts and contribute in RCA and CAPA in-case any part consumption is greater then RoF.
- Create and manage dashboard for spare consumption data.
- Maintain & monitor spare consumption data for all sites and provide necessary information for all the red flags observed.
- Coordinate for reverse logistic for the parts that require RCA based on feedback provided by RCA team.
- Coordinate with Spare team for right shipment against the spare request raised.
Requirements:
- Min. 1-3 yrs. of experience in new production introduction from Automotive/Mechanical industry.
- B. Tech./ BE (Mechanical,Electrical) from reputed university.
- Must have experience of working with cross-functional team and people management experience.
- Must have knowledge on 8D (RCCA) 5 Why’s and/or effective problem solving models.
- Must have knowledge on spare process.
- Basic understanding of Six Sigma concept. Six Sigma yellow/green belt preferred.
- Negotiation skills, Assertive, Ability to motivate and lead people, Ability to work in an intercultural environment, Ability to plan and organize work, Common sense and pragmatism.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects involving global external resources.
- Strong leadership and management skills. Comfortable working with all levels in an organization.
- Should have sound data analytical skills using Excel, PowerBI, Google sheets.
