JOB DESCRIPTION :

Responsibilities

• Assure implementation of Mandarin Oriental policies, standards and procedures for:
• Physical Security programs
• Effective preventive and routine maintenance
• Maintenance Systems & Procedures
• Appearance and housekeeping of all related work spaces.
• Health & Safety policies
• Operation and control of plant and equipment.
• Trouble shooting of electrical and mechanical system
• Proper up keeping of swimming pools, fountains and plant rooms.
• Proper up keeping of Plumbing system.
• Proper up keeping of Hydraulic Bollard system
• Attending Masonry works.
• Assure implementation of Energy conservation and control procedures.
• Proper up keeping of Sewerage & Storm water networks & lifting stations.
• Proper up keeping of Water networks (Domestic, Irrigation, Chilled water, Fire main line & manholes)
• Support and initiate programs for improvement of procedures and the reduction of costs.
• Use training and development resources to improve your skills and abilities.
• Participate in conducting fire prevention training programs.
• Attend and Contributes to Engineering Departmental meetings.
• Aware of and adhere to the Fire and Life Safety standards of the Company ensuring to report any risks to Management.
• Attend meetings and training sessions requested by department.
• Maintain the departmental area in a safe, hygienic and presentable state, reporting risks and needs to management.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Demonstrate knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures and materials.
• Apply knowledge to identify issues and internal problems; work to develop additional technical knowledge and skills.

Skills & Requirements

• University or College degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Extensive experience in the same role in a luxury hotel is required.
• Ability to solve engineering problems using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principles

Other Skills

• Detailed knowledge of hotel operations
• Generalized knowledge in Civil works.
• Computer skills relevant to preventive maintenance software programs and office use.
• Ability for predictive maintenance.
• Skills to analyze feedback information and propose remedial action.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: word, excel, ppt.
