ABOUT COMPANY :

The global FMEA coordinator will be responsible for the PFMEA & control plan business process for RC&AST. He/She will lead activities that will enhance the quality of the business process , deploy a standard way of working to all regions globally, and lead the implementation of changes driven by industry standard updates and data management software updates/improvements. He/She will work in close collaboration with the global and regional MET/Quality teams and the plant super users. He/She will report to the India regional MET director, with functional reporting to the RC global TENPLUS MET director and RC global Quality director.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop & update global FMEA/Control Plan business rules & procedure

• Develop and update in close collaboration with global, regional & plant MET & Quality teams Tenneco specific business rules for the use of PFMEA and Control Plan, in line with applicable industry & customer standards.
• Develop & update training material with the purpose to train superusers in the different regions (train the trainer approach)
• Development & update a global FMEA/Control plan business process procedure

 Training & support of regional superusers

• Provide training to regional superusers (Plants, functional team superusers)
• Provide support to regional superusers with regards to the use of business rules and data management software.

 

FMEA/Control plan data management system

• Support the introduction of the global standard data management system to a new location/department.
• Lead together with Product Development IT the introduction of data management system changes eg migrations to new servers, software version increases
• Continuously look for enhancing the business process through data management  software improvements.

 Global coordinator for template FMEA

• Responsible for release of global template PFMEA’s and Control plan
• Periodic reporting of differences between template FMEA’s and application FMEA’s

FMEA KPI reporting

• Develop a KPI that reflects the maturity of FMEA/Control plan business process (eg quality, on time completion,…)
• Deploy the KPI to all plants globally and establish a regular reporting from each region
• Develop an improvement plan and track improvements through the regular KPI reporting

CRITICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree preferably in Mechanical, Industrial or Systems Engineering.
• Min 5 years of experience - preferably in the automotive industry - related to Quality Management, Project launches or New Process Introduction.
• Certifications: AIAG-VDA 2019 FMEA standard certification, ASQ certifications and Automotive Industry Core tools (SPC, Control Plan, MSA, APQP etc.)
• Fluent spoken & written English is mandatory
• Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes
• Program management / project introduction experience
• ISO/TS16949 and APQP experience (as specified in AIAG manuals)
• Structured working approach, strong in conceptual thinking
• Ability to provide training to other experienced FMEA/CP users in a clear and structural way
• Be able to work with little direction (other than standard procedures), be dedicated to achieving results
